In light of that, here are some of the most frequently asked questions here at Taher Brothers that might give you an idea about what pipes and fittings you might want and what our services entail.
Q.1 What exactly do you mean by pipe fittings?
A. According to our professionals here at Taher Brothers, pipe fitting is the equipment used to connect the pipes. Since there are a variety of pipes, there are also different pipe fittings and it comes in various shapes and sizes to fit the pipe that you are using. Take a look at the different types of fitting below:
- Pipe adapters
- Bulkhead fittings
Q.2 How are pipe fittings identified?
A. To identify a pipe fitting, you must take note of the material used in constructing it along with the basic measurements of the inner and outer parts of the pipe all in diameter. The types of fitting can be divided into several catalogues: threaded or slip and male or female.
Q.3 What is an elbow?
A. The elbow is a kind of fitting that looks like a short length pipe bent at a 90-degree angle. This material allows your pipes to connect securely while also giving them a clean turn.
Q.4 What is the outside diameter (OD) of a 1″ fitting?
A. Depending on the manufacturer of the product, the outside diameter can differ from each other. 1 is the minimum wall thickness requirement of a pipe.
Q.5 Are pipe fittings that have a visible line in them cracked?
A. No, the line on your fitting is not a crack. If you want, you can test it by prying open the crack that you see. If it does not budge or open up, that is most likely the knit-line of the product. It is an intrinsic part of the moulding process and will not impact the effectiveness of your material.
Feedbacks from our customers!
- Lily Armstrong – I purchased a fitting from Taher Brothers and I really don’t have an idea what I should get since there are so many kinds of fitting in their display. The staff around the area are quick to assist me with what I need. They even told me the difference between the fittings and which one I should get for my pipes.
Alice Hugo – The first thing I noticed when I purchased my pipes is that there are so many brands to choose from. I’ve heard some of them before so I have no problem trusting that the products are good. I’m glad I can have an option.
